Matthew Ryan - Experienced, Proven Executive Leader
Matthew Ryan is a senior executive and leader with over three decades of experience in a engineering, architecture, construction services, and financial advisory services in a variety of industries. His work has spanned both the public and private sectors. In 1990, Matthew Ryan was employed as a senior manager in the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO). In this role, he reported to the directors of the Information Management and Technology, National Security, and Executive Branch Government divisions.
From 1996 to 1998, he worked as a senior manager with Infrastructure Management Group. At this family-owned infrastructure business, Matthew Ryan was in charge of technical engagements in the aviation, water and wastewater, and transportation market sectors.
In 2000, Mr. Ryan became a senior vice president and area chief operations officer at HDR, Inc. As senior vice president, he led over 700 employees and helped the organization achieve over $60 million in net revenue. Matthew led operations spanning HDR's entire East Coast operations.
In 2017, he became Executive Vice President and Executive Leadership Team member with HDR In this role, he led around 2,000 technical professionals in cross-sector services including strategic consulting, engineering client development, learning and organizational development, and professional development.
From 2018 to 2024, Mr. Ryan served as CEO, president, and chair of the board of directors at S&ME Incorporated. He was the organization’s first external CEO, president, and chair of the board of directors.
Currently, Matthew is the CEO of TMC, a premier transportation engineering and planning firm based in Florida
